2016 Holiday Challenge
Here is the latest update on the progress of the 2016 Holiday Challenge to benefit families in need through Family and Children’s Services. Thank you to Judge Greenough and family who formed a team and chose to adopt a family of four! Also, the TCBA Children and the Law Committee team is adopting a family of six!
We need you to get involved so we can help more families this year. It’s simple. You can either choose to donate money, or you can choose to “adopt” a specific family in need.
Here’s how it works:
“Adopt a Family”:
- Select the family size that you or your team want to “adopt”;*
- Submit your team’s information (names and contact information) and size of family you wish to “adopt” via email to email@example.com;
- Once matched, you will be given a list of requested items from your “adopted” family. The items requested for your “adopted” family will need to be gift wrapped and dropped off to either TCBA or Family & Children’s Services in Tulsa by December 2, 2016;
- Family & Children’s Services will distribute the gifts to your “adopted” family!
*How much you spend on your “adopted” family is totally up to you. Many requested items from families are basic necessities like socks, underwear, clothes, shoes, diapers, toys, etc. Just as a suggestion, a budget of $50-$100 per family member should cover most, if not all of the requested items. Thus, for a family of four, a budget of $200-$400 would be great.
If you would like to “adopt” a family, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org by October 28 so we can start the matching process with Family & Children’s Services.
Cash: Send your tax deductible donations payable to TCBF and note “Holiday Challenge” on your payment. Cash donations will be accepted through December 9, 2016. All monetary donations will be given to Family & Children’s Services to help provide for families who were not “adopted” specifically.
Don’t wait! Gather your family, friends, or co-workers and form a team. It’s a great cause and your donations are tax deductible!
