DIVERSITY

     The purpose of the committee is to promote diversity within our legal profession. As you may know, women and minorities are underrepresented in the legal profession. As chairperson, I would like develop programs, partnerships, and recommendations that address recruitment, retention and professional development issues with women and minority attorneys.

     The Diversity Committee and the Northeastern Oklahoma Black Lawyers Association (“NOBLA”) have hosted the first annual Diversity CLE. Our esteemed panel included, Judge Claire Eagan, Judge Jane Wiseman, Judge Jerome Holmes, and attorney Maria Cervantes. The CLE was well attended and generated a lot requests to conduct a CLE on diversity annually.
